Everyone's a Critic

Alright, so everyone has been really into this Blog thing lately...and I didn't think that my life was interesting enough for a Blog. However, while I was on the Acadian Bus home last night, I realized that I have much to Blog about. My dad used to call me "The Critic" when I was little because I often told people to "Get off the stage or I'll sue!" I decided that I would start a blog to critique every day life. The 'ups' will get the "Holly Patterson Seal of Approval", and the 'downs' will get a "Dishonorable Mention"

The very first Holly Patterson Seal of Approval goes to Acadian Bus Lines, for actually getting into the Halifax Airport on time to drop me off. This rarely happens and I was happy to be home in good time.

The first Dishonorable Mention goes to Bus Manners. People do NOT know how to act responsibly on public transit. On the bus from Fredericton to Moncton, my seat-mate did not even ask if it was alright to sit beside me, and then he decided that it was perfectly alright to steal my armrest. I was at the window seat, and it is common knowledge that whoever sits down first gets the middle armrest. I was willing to let this slide, because I wasn't going to use it much anyways. However, on the bus from Moncton to Halifax, I had a girl behind me who was more restless than a 5-year-old on caffeine. She decided that it was more than appropriate to rest her feet on the back of my seat while she read her book, kicking it with great force every 2 seconds. Now, I don't think that I would have cared if she was 10, but this girl was in her first year of University (As I overheard as she pounded the back of my seat again). This is absolutely NOT acceptable, and I felt like turning around and ripping her head off...however, as I usually do, I sucked it up and decided that I would write a Blog about it. So, congratulations annoying seat-kicker, you are the inspiration for my new Blog.

Until next time,

The Critic :)
